You can do a number of things using the Focus Self Service app (depending on your permissions) including clocking in and out, viewing your schedule or timesheets and making holiday requests. Before you can do any of these things, you need to install the app on your smartphone and know how to log in.

This guide will walk you through how to:

• Allow access to your Location when prompted on initial login
• Changing Location permissions

Get the Self Service App on your smartphone

Download the app using one of the following methods:

Allow access to your Location when prompted on initial login

If your company uses Geolocation when you clock in and out, you will be asked to allow Focus to use your location when logging in for the first time.

Android users

1. Enter the Company Code that your Focus Administrator has provided you with.
2. Enter your PIN and Password (also provided by your Focus Administrator).
3. Select ‘Allow’ when prompted to ‘Allow Focus to access this device’s location?’

iPhone users

1. Enter the Company Code that your Focus Administrator has provided you with.
2. Enter your PIN and Password (also provided by your Focus Administrator).
3. Select ‘Allow While Using App’ when prompted to ‘Allow Focus to use your location?’

Changing Location permissions

If you wish to turn your location permissions on or off at any time, you have the option to do so in your smartphone's settings. For example, you might have initially selected ‘Deny’ / ‘Don’t Allow’ by mistake.

Android users

Step 1

1. Select ‘Settings’.
2. Select ‘Privacy’.
3. Select ‘Location Services’.
4. Ensure ‘Access to my location’ is enabled.
5. Ensure your location accuracy is set to the highest level (ie. Use GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks).

Step 2

1. Select ‘Settings’.
2. Select ‘Apps’.
3. Select ‘Focus’ from the list of Apps.
4. Select ‘Permissions’.
5. Enable ‘Your Location’.

iPhone users

1. Select ‘Settings’.
2. Select ‘Privacy’.
3. Select ‘Location Services’.
4. Ensure ‘Location Services’ is enabled.
5. Select ‘Focus’ from the list of Apps.
6. Select ‘While Using the App’.
7. Ensure ‘Precise Location’ is enabled.
