This is done from within the Rota Drafting Bench, assuming that your System Administrator has enabled the ‘Available Shifts’ settings. Any shift requirements that sit in the Drafting Bench, once saved, are classed as available. Those employees, who are eligible, will be able to view and request these shifts via the Self Service App. Any shifts allocated to the Rota will not be available and so cannot be viewed or requested by employees.

Create your shift requirements, as usual, in the pop-up that appears on the right of the screen.
These shifts will sit in the Drafting Bench and will not look any different to you at this stage. These shifts are not available to employees yet.
Once you ‘Save’ the Rota, the shifts in the Drafting Bench will become available.
