How do I email Reports?

You can now email reports directly from inside Focus, either by selecting Users from a list or by manually entering one or more email addresses.

This guide will look at:

  • Setting up your Report
  • Emailing your Report
  • Report Attachment Types

Setting up your Report

Any report in Focus can be emailed, including your own custom reports. Start by getting your report ready - pick the columns, groups, dates and any other options you need for the data you want to share.

If you are likely to email the same report often, consider saving your filters and column choices as a ‘My Report’, to give you quick access to the settings next time.

Emailing Reports

When you have the report you wish to email, click Report

This generates a printable version of the report.

Click Email…

This will open up the Email Report dialog. From here you can modify the Subject and Body of the email, as well as picking the type(s) of files you wish to send.

Users who have email addresses added to their accounts will appear in the User Picker list.

You can also manually add as many email addresses as you wish - separate multiple emails with a comma or semicolon.

Report Attachment Types

You can select any combination of report export types to attach to the email.

A PDF will give you something that looks identical to the preview. Excel exports have a similar layout to the PDF view, but the data is arranged in an Excel friendly format.

If you intend to manipulate the data further, a CSV with a Headers row is your best bet as it gives you the data at its most ‘raw’.
