Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6th July 2026

This website, discoverfocus.co.uk, is owned and operated by HR Industries Ltd ("HRI", "we", "us"). HR Industries Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

HR Industries Ltd Company number: 05487860 Registered office: 20 Smugglers Walk, Goring-By-Sea, Worthing, England, BN12 4DP Trading address: Bluesky Business Centre, 25 Cecil Pashley Way, Shoreham Airport, BN43 5FF, United Kingdom Email: info@hrindustries.co.uk

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a fee payer. Registration reference: ZA917998.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect, and why

When you complete an enquiry form

If you choose to contact us through one of our enquiry forms, we collect the information you provide. Depending on the form, this may include:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your phone number (optional — we only use this if you ask for a demo or callback)
  • Your company name, size, and sector
  • Details of your requirements, in your own words

Why we process it: to respond to your enquiry, and — where your enquiry is about purchasing or evaluating Focus — to connect you with the right people to help.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to make), and where relevant, taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

When you browse the site

We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how people arrive, and what content is useful. This data is pseudonymous: it does not directly identify you, but it is not fully anonymous. See the Cookies section below.

Lawful basis: consent, which you give or decline through our cookie banner.

We do not collect any special category (sensitive) personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not include any in free-text enquiry fields.

Our distributor network — who may contact you

HR Industries does not sell Focus directly. Focus is supplied and supported by our network of specialist distributors:

  • Egress Systems
  • Chronologic
  • Data Time Systems

If your enquiry relates to purchasing, trialling, or receiving a demonstration of Focus, we will pass your enquiry details to the distributor we judge most suitable for your needs, based on the information you supply — for example your requirements, sector, or company size. That distributor will then contact you directly.

We share only what is needed to handle your enquiry. Our distributors act as independent data controllers for the contact they make with you, and each is committed to handling your data in line with UK data protection law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside HR Industries and our distributor network unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep your information

  • Enquiry and lead data: we keep the details of your enquiry for up to 24 months from our last meaningful contact with you. If you have not become a customer of a Focus distributor in that time, we delete your details.
  • If you become a customer: your information is retained by the relevant distributor under their agreement with you; our own enquiry record is retained for the duration of the relationship for continuity purposes.
  • Analytics data: retained in Google Analytics for [VERIFY — 2 or 14 months, per GA4 property setting], after which only aggregated, non-identifiable reporting data remains.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will (see Your rights, below).

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device that help websites function and help site owners understand how their sites are used.

We use:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): to measure how visitors use the site. These are set only with your consent, which you can give, refuse, or withdraw at any time through our cookie banner. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect your use of the site.
  • Advertising cookies (Google Ads): when we run advertising campaigns, Google may set cookies to measure their effectiveness and to show our adverts on other sites. These are also set only with your consent. When we are not running campaigns, these cookies are not in use. You can additionally opt out of Google's advertising cookies via Google's ad settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Analytics data is processed by Google, which may involve transfers of data outside the UK, including to the United States. These transfers are protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking all cookies may affect how some websites work.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously. We and our distributors apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, and we approach data protection on a security-by-design basis.
